Internal Assessment (IA)

Extended Essay

IB Biology

Extended response precision, diagram technique, and analytical writing at HL and SL.

Examiner edge: Biology examiners understand the question structures that differentiate grade 6 from grade 7. Most Chilean biology students know the content; we build the response technique on top.

IB Economics

Paper 1 evaluation essays, Paper 2 diagrams, Paper 3 quantitative work, and IA criterion support.

Examiner edge: Economics examiners know what genuine evaluation looks like in a Paper 1 essay versus structured description. This distinction is worth multiple marks per response.

IB English A

Paper 1 unseen commentary and Paper 2 comparative essays at HL and SL for both Language and Literature and Literature.

Examiner edge: Our English A examiners have marked both courses. For Chilean students whose first language is Spanish, we also coach the specific academic register IB English examiners reward.

IB Spanish A

Individual oral preparation, written tasks, and literary/language analysis at HL and SL.

Examiner edge: Our Spanish A Language A specialists examine at the highest IB standard. Chilean students taking Spanish A receive examiner-calibrated feedback on oral and written work.

IB History

Source-based technique for Paper 1, analytical essays for Paper 2, and full IA supervision.

Examiner edge: History examiners know the Latin American and 20th century topics Chilean students most commonly choose. IA supervision from examiner perspective identifies structural issues before submission.

IB Psychology

SAQ and essay technique calibrated to mark-scheme bands across all approaches.

Examiner edge: Psychology examiners know that the difference between a 4 and a 7 in essay responses is almost always a matter of evaluative structure rather than content. We coach that distinction directly.

Examiner-Only Model

Every PrepSeven tutor is a certified IB examiner. This is the baseline qualification for joining our team, not a premium option.

Spanish A Language Support

We provide Language A tutoring for students taking Spanish A, delivered by specialists in IB Language A criteria at examiner level.

All sessions are one-on-one. Each programme is built around the student’s specific subjects, grades, exam session, and assessment timeline.
